    The C Family {Hawks Cay Family Photographer}

    The C family contacted me about some blended family pictures of the grandkids as a surprise for Gramma during their stay on Duck Key near Hawks Cay.  The personality of these kids made the session so much fun. There was a storm in the area which made for perfect cloud cover and great light, but unfortunately, that usually means the blues and greens in the water don’t really come out as well.  So, we focused more on close ups for the most part.  We did some individual shots and some group shots for Gramma, then just did some fun photos as we had time.  We also got to utilize one of my favorite trees right on the Hawks Cay grounds just before dark. This family comes into town at least annually, so I hope to see them again.

    The Perry Family {Marathon, FL Photographer}

    I first met the Perry family from South Dakota in 2014.  The family comes to Hawks Cay every 2 years and while they’re here, they get updated family photos.  5 different families from 4 different states make up this fun group of  14.  This year, rather than doing the shots at the resort, we moved over to the area by the villas so we could switch the scenery up a bit.  We did some posed large group family shots, then some shots of the individual smaller families before we did some candids of the grandkids.  It was great to be able to see how much the kids had grown.  They tell me they’ll be back in 2018.  I hope so!

    The “F” Family {Florida Keys Family Photographer}

    Periodically I’m contacted by families that have come in from out of town for a reunion of sorts and would like to get some updated family photos.  I’m a sucker for these sessions because as the smaller families are created and grow, the opportunity for full family photos with gramma and grampas becomes more difficult.  I encourage any family to get pictures as often as the whole family can be together, and sometimes this means getting them done while on vacation.  The “F” family of 12 came from all over the country and was full of spunk (and Nick’s….I think there were 4 of them).  Gramma and Grampa wanted some full family shots as well as some of just the grandkids and their families as well.  Since they were staying at Hawks Cay, we used the resort for our landscape.  What a beautiful facility for a wonderful family.  If you’re coming to town and your whole family will be together, think about getting some updated family photos while you’re here.
